The group has a supply chain programme in place that promotes pre qualified subcontractors to meet certain criteria giving our clients transparency in projects. Using Pre Qualification Questionnaires that have been developed by central government and leaders of our industry, ensures our supply chain complies with basic Health, Safety & environmental standards and equal opportunities. This allows to improve efficiencies across projects and importantly quality.

Halls community involvement. Corporate sustainability takes on engagement of the local community where our business activities take place. We aim to reduce the impact our operations have on local communities and make a positive contribution to the communities within which we work.

Involvement with the community is more than just fundraising and charity sponsorship. The Group contributes a substantial amount of time to make a positive impact on the local community, raising awareness and tailor activities to suit our local community.

Hall Construction Division was recently in the top 5 of Balfour Beatty’s national health and safety subcontractors list, for their work on William Gee Sports Pavilion, Hull. The Group has also been awarded a top certificate in 2010 for health and safety, awarded by Hull Building Safety Group.
The group is altogether committed to taking the right steps to make a positive impact on the environment. The group are now in a market where the environmental impact of a company is scrutinised. As such we are leading by example and promoting best practice in industry for our supply chain to follow suit.
Reducing Waste to landfill
Committing our construction sites using Waste Resources Action Plan Wrap to achieve reduction in our sites waste to landfill by 80%. All Divisions in the group seek to reduce, reuse & recycle waste and to conserve scarce natural resources where possible.
Energy Reduction Commitment
The Group have invested in a Solar PV system that have been installed on our joinery and head office to increase our reliability on renewable energy heading towards a zero carbon future. We are planning to reduce our energy consumption upto 60% in 2012.
Materials
The Group understands the importance of procuring services locally where possible and sourcing materials from sustainable, well managed sources.

The Group's Joinery division are promoting the use of timber from well managed and sustainable forests to reduce the impact of illegal logging and deforestation. They are also in support of the Wood For Good manifesto.

Hall Special projects have successfully implemented an Integrated Management System (PAS 99) to demonstrate the company’s commitment to current and prospective customers and its ability to manage its processes efficiently and effectively.
Hall Construction group believes that evidence of continual improvement in the areas of quality, environment and health and safety is a powerful message to its customers and underlines the core brand values of the business.
The implementation of this accreditation shows significant improvements in the efficiency and long term sustainable cost reductions. Achieving an additional two standards and implementing an Integrated Management System in short period of time, required a leap in knowledge from its management team.
The company is delighted to have achieved PAS 99. This accreditation demonstrates the company’s commitment to achieving high standards internally in order to provide effective management and delivery of services to its clients.
